Our sales program is the backbone of our success. We are seeking out individuals to contribute to both divisions of our company including sales and operations. Our sales department includes National Account Managers and Account Managers. Individuals in these role will be building their own customer base and then providing smooth transportation services from pickup to delivery of their customer’s freight. National Account Managers target large accounts such as national retailers while Account Managers focus on small, medium and large shippers. Both positions are highly competitive and require a minimum 5 years of logistical industry experience. In addition to having a prior knowledge of the business, applicants should also have earned a 4 year degree to apply to either position.

Account Manager

  • Bring on new customers and organically grow them. In addition some customers may be handed to you to service and organically grow.

  • Develop an overview of each customer and identify all possible opportunities in transportation.

  • Identify and cross sell all of Becker Logistics service offerings.

  • Reach out to shippers and consignees and earn new opportunities to expand our network.

  • Continue to develop knowledge in all areas of the industry to become well diverse.

  • Sell current customers on contractual freight, segmented logistics and other Becker Logistics offerings that strengthen the relationships we have with each customer.

  • Generate multiple opportunities per month that have a minimum volume level of one per week.

  • Keep updated CRM records on accounts you are responsible to maintain.

Carrier Sales Representative

  • Actively coordinate, communicate and cooperate with our sales teams and managers to understand any customer expectations and identify carriers to fulfill all customer needs.

  • Negotiate pricing with carriers.

  • Resolve carrier issues to ensure carrier satisfaction and retention.

  • Call carriers daily to capture available equipment.

  • Continue to develop knowledge in all areas of the industry to become well diverse.

  • Identify carriers, and negotiate pricing to properly and efficiently facilitate the movement of freight.

  • Increase usage of partner carriers to enable Becker Logistics growth.

  • Identify new carriers to increase capacity of the Becker Logistics network.

  • Identify and document carrier needs within our transportation management system to assist with the future growth of Becker Logistics.

  • Confer with team leader to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems.

  • Comply with company policy and procedures.
