Summary of Role:
The Flatbed Account Manager will be responsible for bringing on flatbed customers as well as playing a key role in all aspects of flatbed customer communication, and day-to-day freight operations –focusing on growth by delivering the loads. The Flatbed Account Manager will need to have proven freight skills, experience, and a strong team mentality.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prospect and successfully onboard new Flatbed Customers
- Develop long-term relationships with Flatbed shippers
- Handle any issues that come up in the normal operation of freight movement
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly targets
- Clearly communicate the value of working with this company
- Serve as a partner to our sales team anticipating challenges and presenting solutions to support business objectives
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in sales preferred
- 1+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry
- 1+ year of experience in Flatbed sales, operations, account management, or similar functions
- Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution
- Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Comfortable with change
- Resourceful and flexible
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Excel proficiency required
