Summary of Role:

The Flatbed Account Manager will be responsible for bringing on flatbed customers as well as playing a key role in all aspects of flatbed customer communication, and day-to-day freight operations –focusing on growth by delivering the loads. The Flatbed Account Manager will need to have proven freight skills, experience, and a strong team mentality.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and successfully onboard new Flatbed Customers
  • Develop long-term relationships with Flatbed shippers
  • Handle any issues that come up in the normal operation of freight movement
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly targets
  • Clearly communicate the value of working with this company
  • Serve as a partner to our sales team anticipating challenges and presenting solutions to support business objectives

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in sales preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry
  • 1+ year of experience in Flatbed sales, operations, account management, or similar functions
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution
  • Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Comfortable with change
  • Resourceful and flexible
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Excel proficiency required
